SMS Program & Consent Information

Interactive Entertainment LLC (dba J&D Entertainment) · Talent Notifications

Last updated: May 2026

Program Overview

The J&D Entertainment Talent Notifications SMS program sends operational text messages to performers ("talent") who have been booked for events through J&D Entertainment. This is a transactional (Customer Care) messaging program — we do not send marketing or promotional content.

Messages are sent from a 10-digit long code (10DLC) number registered under the A2P 10DLC compliance framework operated by Interactive Entertainment LLC.

How Talent Enroll in the SMS Program

Enrollment is invitation-only and talent-initiated. Staff never opt talent in or enter phone numbers on a talent's behalf. The full opt-in journey is documented below with screenshots of the actual production pages, in the order an invited performer encounters them.

Step 1 — Invitation email

After J&D Entertainment contracts a performer for a specific event, the performer receives an invitation email containing a unique, tokenized link to a private account-creation page on talent.jdentertain.com. The invitation is sent only to the performer's verified email; the link cannot be guessed.

Step 2 — Account creation, phone number & SMS consent

Clicking the link in the invitation email opens the private account-creation page below. The talent sets a password, enters their own US mobile phone number in a clearly-labeled tel-input, and is presented with two separate, unchecked-by-default checkboxes, structured per Twilio Trust & Safety guidance for A2P 10DLC programs:

  1. Transactional / informational SMS consent — opt-in to receive booking confirmations, call-time reminders, venue/location updates, and contract notifications. Unchecked by default; not required to submit the form.
  2. Terms of Service & Privacy Policy acceptance — unchecked by default; required to create the account.

Each consent disclosure includes the brand identifier (J&D Entertainment), the message-category description, message frequency disclosure ("frequency varies"), the message & data rates disclaimer, and the STOP / HELP keywords. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links open in new tabs. Consent timestamps and the talent's IP address are recorded in the database as a legal audit trail for whichever boxes the talent ticks. The phone number field is mandatory and validated server-side (10-digit US mobile minimum) — no account is created and no consent is recorded unless the talent has clearly provided their phone number on this same form. No SMS is ever sent for a message category unless the talent ticked the corresponding consent box AND a phone number is on file.

Password, phone, and the Terms / Privacy box are required; the transactional SMS consent box is optional.

A live demo of this gated form is reachable for reviewer verification at /portal/set-password?username=demoperformer — the form is fully functional, including server-side rejection of any submission missing the required Terms / Privacy checkbox. SMS consent boxes are recorded if ticked but are not required to submit.

Step 3 — Post-signup phone updates (optional)

The phone number is captured on the account-creation page above (Step 2). After signing in, the talent can update their phone number at any time from their Contact Info page in the portal — useful if they change carriers or numbers. All phone numbers are talent-provided through their own authenticated session; no staff member can enter or change a talent's phone number on the talent's behalf.

Public discoverability of this page

A footer link to this SMS Program page ("SMS Opt-In") is present on every public page of the talent portal, including the login page reproduced below, so the program disclosures are reachable from any public entry point without authentication.

Acknowledge SMS Program Disclosures

The two checkboxes below are a faithful, publicly submittable reproduction of the consent controls shown on the private account-creation page (Step 2 above): one unchecked, optional transactional SMS consent checkbox and one unchecked, required Terms of Service / Privacy Policy checkbox. Submitting this form from the public page does not enroll anyone in the SMS program — actual enrollment requires the invitation, account creation, and self-entered phone number described above. The form exists so reviewers can independently verify the consent UI structure and disclosure language without coordinating an invitation.
